Admission Process

Don Bosco Institute of Technology (DBIT) Bangalore was established in the year 2001 and is affiliated to Visweshwaraya Technological University (VTU). The college offers B.Tech program at UG level and M.Tech and MBA program at PG Level. 

  • B.Tech program is offered in 7 specializations with 180 seats in Computer science and Technology branch.
  • B.Tech admission will be granted on the basis of COMEDK/ JEE Mains and KCET score.
  • For, M.Tech program candidates should have completed Bachelor’s in Engineering program in relevant elective.
  • M.Tech program is offered in 4 specializations and admission will be granted on the basis of GATE score.
  • For admission to MBA program a valid PGCET score is mandatory.

Eligibility

  • The candidate should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC/12th standard or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study.
  • The candidates should have obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects.
  • In case of candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes, the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.

Campus

Library: The library is situated on the ground floor, spread over around 800 Sq.M in the main administrative block. The library has well-trained professionals to support the user community. Around 150 users can sit and read at any point in time.

Sports: The Campus is well equipped with modern infrastructure for physical education and sports. Training is provided in various modern and traditional Indian games. The activities include Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Table-tennis, Cricket, Handball, Softball, Throw ball, Judo, Football, Netball, Chess, Carrom, Athletics, Martial arts under modern games; and Yoga, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, etc. under the traditional sports activities of India.

Transportation: Transport facilities are provided to the students and faculty through a fleet of luxury buses driven by experienced drivers. The transport network of Don Bosco connects all the prominent places of Bangalore city with the institute. Small vans are maintained for the use of the employees and administrative staff of Don Bosco.

Hostel: Donbosco provides residential facilities for both Boys & Girls students on the campus. Reading rooms, recreation center, Wi-Fi facility, weekend movies. The hostels are also provided with solar heaters and good cooking accessories. Senior faculty members are made as Wardens to look after the day-to-day working of the Hostel and the discipline of borders.
