Presidency University, Bangalore, is a private university that was established in 2013 in Yelahanaka, Bangalore by the Presidency Group of Institutions (PGI). It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). It is reaccredited with an “A+” Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The University offers UG, PG and PhD programmes across various streams, such as Engineering, Commerce, Management, Law, among others. It comprises seven constituent schools, which include the School of Engineering, School of Commerce, School of Law, School of Management, School of Design, School of Information Science and School of Media Studies.

Admission Process

Presidency University Bangalore offers a full-time MBA programme across four specialisations along with a dual-specialisation MBA programme across six specialisation electives. Both the programmes are of two years duration, spread across four semesters. Candidates interested in seeking MBA admission at Presidency University need to possess a high score in a national-level Management Aptitude Test, such as CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ ATMA/ KMAT. Shortlisted candidates are further required to appear for a PI round in-person or through Skype which will consist of an oral extempore presentation and interview. Other parameters, such as scholastic and extracurricular records and work experience add weightage for admission. The final selection of the candidates is based on their overall performance in the PI process.

Placements

The placements are pretty okay. Not that bad many students are placed in well-recognised companies. The exact percentage differs every year but it's more than 50%.

Campus

  • Library

    Our Library has 15 high end systems for the learning community to read various e-resources such as e-journals, e-books, and databases such as Pro Quest and NPTEL lectures. In due course of time, our university will have a Data Centre, to cater the IT needs.

  • Cafeteria

    University has a well-established Cafeteria located on the campus providing a wide range of foods including North & South Indian as well as fast food for the benefit of the students and staff. The food offered by the Cafeteria is hygienic and it offers a taste of home, with wholesome freshly-cooked dishes from around the country.

  • Hostel

    Resident students are provided furnished accommodation comprising cot, chair, cupboard, internet wi-fi, etc. Each hostel is provided with independent dining area and common rooms, TV, etc. The hostel has an indoor games facility. The hot and cold drinking water facility is provided in the hostel. Transport facility is provided to girl students during weekends and on holidays to go to nearby Yelahanka new town for shopping. The hostel will be provided on a first come first served basis. Random allotment for hostel and rooms will be done. Rooms and hostel once allotted cannot be changed.
