BITSAT

BITSAT stands for Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test. It is an online exam which is conducted for the students to take admission in the undergraduate Engineering courses (BE)  offered at its three campuses located at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad.

BITSAT is conducted every year by BITS Pilani and after clearing the exam, students are given admission into B.E., B.Pharm and M.Sc. programmes.

Eligibility Criteria

For Admission to Any of the First Degree programmes of BITS  

  • Aspirants should have passed the class 12th examination from a recognised Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates must have adequate proficiency in English.
  • Aspirants should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.

For Admission to B.Pharm (Hons)  

  • Aspirants should have passed the class 12th examination from a recognised Central or State board or its equivalent with the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Candidates must have adequate proficiency in English. However, candidates with PCMB in class 12 can also apply for the Pharmacy programme at BITS campuses.
  • Aspirants should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (and Maths, if they are PCMB students) subjects with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (and Maths, if they are PCMB students) subjects.
  • Only students who are appearing for the 12th class examination in 2022 or have passed in 2021 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT 2022. Only two attempts are there for the student.
  • Students already studying in any of the BITS campuses are not eligible for the exam.
  • Admissions are done purely on a merit basis which is further based on the score a student gets in the examination. However, their eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in the 12th examination, as mentioned above

Marking Scheme     For every correct answer, 3 marks is allotted. For every incorrect answer, 1 mark is deducted. For unattempted questions, no marks     are allotted.

Result

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) will release the BITSAT scorecard after the exam on the official website. Candidates appearing for the examination can check their BITSAT scores using their application number and password.
