UPSEE

UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination) is an entrance exam for candidates seeking admission to the first year of B.Tech., B.Arch., B.Pharm., B.Des., B.Voc., BFAD, BHMCT, MBA, MCA, M.Tech., M. Arch., and M.Pharm Courses. Candidates can also pursue lateral entries for the second year of B.Tech., B.Pharm., and MCA.

Meanwhile, as per JEE Main 2022 brochure, for the academic year 2022 Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, will now offer admission in all UPSEE participating colleges through JEE Main score. AKTU will not be conducting UPSEE from the next academic year for engineering admissions. However, students who have appeared and written the UPSEE till date will not be affected by this new decision. As per the official notice released by the varsity, the change will be applicable from the academic session 2022-23.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Age Limit: There is no age limit for candidates that wish to apply for UPSEE.
  • Educational Qualification:
    • Candidates that have cleared their class 12 in any year are eligible to apply. Students who are appearing for their class 12 examination are also eligible to apply.
    • Candidates must have secured at least 45% marks in their class 12 examination.

Exam Pattern

Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) consists of 8 papers with different combinations of subjects. Candidates can choose the paper depending on his/her course preference. It is an offline examination with an objective multiple type question paper, except for drawing aptitude test in Paper 3. For every correct answer, candidates are given +4 marks. There is no negative marking in UPSEE.
