Sri Muthukumaran Medical College Hospital and Research Institute (SMMCHRI) was established in 2009 and is affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University, Chennai. The Institute offers MBBS programme which is followed by a 1-year Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI). Admission in this course is based on Entrance Exam i.e. NEET UG. 

Candidates can apply either online or offline.

Admission Process

Muthukumaran Medical College MBBS Admission 2022

SMMCHRI offers four-year MBBS program. Applicants must have appeared successfully for HSC examinations of Tamil Nadu or equivalent. The qualifying exam should have been passed with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and other subject as compulsory subjects or Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany as compulsory subjects. Minimum marks secured in Botany/ Biology and Zoology should not be less than 60% in aggregate and 60% in Physics and Chemistry, individually. Out of maximum marks of 200, candidates should score at least 140 marks.

Admissions will be done through university level counselling. Candidates appearing for counselling must have a valid score in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG).

Eligibility

Must have completed 10+2 or HSC and passed with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Botany or Zoology as compulsory subjects.

• Medical Equipment: The Campus has facilities for several diagnostic procedures such as ECG, X-Ray and laboratory investigation
