GUJCET

GUJCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Test) is an annual entrance exam for candidates seeking admission into Engineering and pharmacy courses. The exam is overseen by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB). However, the admission and the counselling process is undertaken by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC).

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates have to ensure that they fulfil the following criteria to be deemed eligible:

  • Candidates should be Indian citizens.
  • Candidates must be domiciled in Gujarat (IF claiming reservation).
  • The candidate’s age must not be less than 17 years.
  • Candidates must have cleared their class 12 exam from a recognized board.
  • Candidates that are appearing for their class 12 exams are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates must have secured at least 45% marks (40% in case of reserved categories) in their class 12 exams or equivalent

Exam Pattern

The marks awarded for each question is as follows:

B.Tech

  • 1 mark is awarded for every correct response
  • – 0.25 mark is deducted for every incorrect response

B.Pharma

  • 1 mark is awarded for every correct response
  • – 0.25 mark is deducted for every incorrect response

Syllabus

GUJCET syllabus comprises three core subjects – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. The syllabus is derived from the GSEB Board’s HSC level.

Result

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) will declare the GUJCET 2023 results at its official website gujcet.gseb.org after conducting the exam. Candidates can access their GUJCET scorecards by entering their credentials.

Cut Off

GUJCET cutoff marks 2022 is calculated giving 60% weightage to Class 12 marks and 40% weightage to GUJCET score. The cutoff score is released by the Admission Committee of Professional Courses (ACPC) on its official website.
