Jamia Hamdard University became a university in 1989 with the endorsement of the University Grants Commission (UGC). Jamia Hamdard is one of the top colleges in India. It was accredited in ‘A’ grade by NAAC and was ranked No. 1 for Pharmaceutical studies.

The admission to the university is merit-based and entrance exam based. Admission Process

Jamia Hamdard University also offers admission to B.Pharm, B.Sc (Nursing) & BUMS courses on the basis of a valid score in NEET UG. 10+2 (PCB) with at least 50% marks in aggregate is the minimum eligibility criteria. B.Pharm (Lateral Entry) and D.Pharm admissions are based on the marks in last qualifying examination. For PB (Nursing) and Pre-Tib courses, the university conducts its own entrance test and Interview.

Placements

Students are provided with a lot of facilities by the college. They have pre-placement services like mock interviews, seminars, and workshops to prepare them for the workforce. The college provides internships for the students of medical, engineering, and other courses. They also help students with work placements after college is over.

• Healthcare: The university consists of Majeedia Unani Hospital and HAH Centenary Hospital which are state of art world-class hospitals dealing in Unani System of Medicine. It is a teaching hospital that is actively involved in providing quality Unani medical education and training to the students. The hospitals are 100 bedded and offer healthcare at affordable costs. It is not only run by well-experienced staff but also known for its specialty services in a wide range of illnesses.

• Convention center: The university has drawn scholars and researchers from all over the world to its convention center. It has well planned and well-equipped meetings and interaction as well as beautifully designed. It is centrally air-conditioned, elegantly furnished. It is also provided with all the modern amenities of an International Conference venue.

• Conference Hall: The conference hall has a seating capacity of 250 seats. There is also a Mini-Conference Hall which has a capacity of 60 seats.

• Other rooms: The university contains seminar rooms with a seating capacity of thirty persons and a Press Conference Room with a capacity of 60 seats. It also contains a Committee Rooms with varying seating capacities from 10 to 20 persons.

• Exhibition Hall: There is a large, well-ventilated and well-lit area called the exhibition hall in the university. It has a wall and table-top display facilities and hence available for holding exhibitions.
